Amelia was born and raised in the Bed & Breakfast. She was an only child to Cornelius and Clotiel. From a very young age Amelia felt like she was in training for something big. She seemed to be always learning and observing. Now a young woman she felt a certain urgency for more. Ameila knew her parents wanted her to take over the B&B someday, but she felt her task was bigger than that. Amelia loved to read. Sometimes she would go up to the attic and just sit for hours reading the old books. She even found one that had some of her ancestors in them. Amelia also helped at the B&B. She enjoyed the many people that passed through and hearing what things they had to say. She even had a friend, Tamera. She and Tamera shared just about everything. These days Tamera seemed more secretive though. Amelia suspects there must be a boy in the picture. Amelia had dreams of her own. She wanted to be swept away by a handsome young man and he would take her all over the world. They would after some time settle down and have a few children then she would work on her art and he would build things. Amelia had doubts about her dream though, she didn’t know where the B&B fit in. It’s not that she didn’t like the B&B, she loved it. It had charm, but most of all it had presence. The B&B meant something to her, every single nook and corner. There had to be a way to have it all. That’s what Amelia had to figure out.
Amelia was youthful and it showed. Her clear light brown complexion glowed. Her semi curly hair hung to the middle of her back. Her once boyish skinny body was filled out now, the young men at the market looked twice when she walked by.
One thing Amelia wanted to do was meet some of her relatives. Sometimes she would hear her parents talk about some of them but not in the normal sense. There was this mystery that she felt she needed to solve. Her dad always told her to know the business well, so no one will take it from you. Amelia knew he was trying to protect her but from what or who. What Amelia didn’t know was she would be meeting some relatives real soon and it wasn’t going to be the sweet family gathering she hoped it would be.
